Student Legacy Scholarship Fund
PiP created a Legacy Scholarship Fund for graduating students that will last for years to come...
Imagine Parents In Partnership (PiP) is a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer organization that serves the students, parents, teachers and administration of Imagine International Academy of North Texas (IIANT), a young International Baccalaureate (IB) World School located in McKinney, Texas.
IIANT graduated its first high school class in 2016. Through generous donations, PiP raised $2,500 and awarded modest financial gifts for college expenses to selected recipients that year. It also retained a portion of the funds to seed a sustainable program for future graduating classes.
In 2024, PiP will proudly award $5,000 in scholarship monies to three graduating seniors in the amounts of $2,500, $1,500 and $1000.
The PiP Student Legacy Scholarship Fund is not a formal endowment fund and is maintained through ongoing donations and fundraising efforts of Parents in Partnership. Donations are considered temporary restricted funds that are maintained to benefit each graduating class. Donations specifically for the Student Legacy Scholarship Fund are tax deductible and are fully applied toward funds awarded to students.

- Applications are redacted and reviewed by a selection committee of parent volunteers on behalf of PiP.
- Once the PiP Selection Committee has concluded the applicant selection process, winners will be notified at a class event such as the graduation ceremony or class dinner, at the discretion of PiP.
- Winners may be subject to public disclosure on the Imagine PiP website.
- The scholarship is awarded in form of a check made payable to the student.
- The PiP Treasurer will provide a statement of the award to the student for tax and reporting records.
- Most colleges require that accepted students report any external scholarships to their financial aid office. These external scholarships are then factored into the college’s overall aid package to the student. It is the responsibility of the student to report their award to their college of choice.
