2021-2022 Parents in Partnership Board
President
Cecilia Lozano
Cecilia and her family reside in Frisco. This is their second year at Imagine where her three children are in grades 6th, 3rd, and 1st. As a wife, mother, and manager of a preschool, she serves as your PiP President. Why do you value PiP? Parents supporting the school community makes a positive impact on kids and their learning. My kids love for me to be involved in their school! Why did you decide to volunteer with PiP? To quickly get involved at our new school. I value helping our school community, supporting our teachers, and enriching my kids learning experience. If you'd like to connect with Cecilia about the President role, please contact her @ cecilia.lozano@imaginepip.org. Treasurer
Rafi Uddin
Rafi and his wife have a daughter in 3rd Grade at Imagine. He is an accountant and partner at his accounting firm, Accountex Accounting Services, in Plano. Not only does he lend his expertise in managing the finances and tax needs a Imagine PiP, a 501c3, he’s also a Dad who has chosen to be involved – which is awesome! Why do you value PiP? PiP plays an important role as a liaison between parents and the school, with a paramount focus on providing additional support to our teachers and students. PiP is also a great opportunity to network with other Imagine parents. Why did you volunteer with PiP? Volunteering at PiP is a great way to give back to the school and to work alongside administration, teachers, and staff. The PiP Board often hears about important information from the school before it’s broadly communicated. It is also a great opportunity to connect with other parents. There's no better way to be connected to what’s happening at school than to be involved! PiP hosts many fundraising events that support new and expanded technology, field trips, teacher appreciation, and host of other items that improve the quality and culture of our school. I am glad to be part of the PiP board! If you'd like to connect with Rafi about the Treasurer role, please contact him @ rafi.uddin@imaginepip.org. Director of Programs
Ashveen Kaur
Ashveen resides in McKinney with her family. This is their third year at Imagine with their 2nd grade son. She is a wife, mom, an HR Professional, and a certified yoga instructor. She holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Management and is a certified internal auditor with a bachelor's degree in commerce. Why do you value PiP? "Today everyone is so busy, it almost seems like a contest to see who is the busiest. Between juggling our profession, caring for our family/loved ones, and multiple other responsibilities, there never seems to be enough hours in the day. I bring a lot of energy to what I do" Why did you volunteer with PiP? When we started as a new family in Imagine, I volunteered as PiP to network and meet other parents. Soon I discovered the need for more parents to join and assist in different activities as our children spend a better part of the day in school. Becoming a school volunteer gives you the opportunity to share in school-related experiences. Volunteering at school is a great way to connect with other parents. It felt like I would be wasting an amazing opportunity not to get involved in the PiP board. I am very excited and looking forward to being a part of this awesome organization. My favourite quote is "You are never wrong to do the right thing". If you'd like to connect with Ashveen about the Programs role, please contact her @ Ashveen.Kaur@imaginepip.org. |
Vice President
Sheena LaPlante
Sheena, her husband, and two daughters live in McKinney with their two doodles. Sheena is an active Dragon parent and the current committee chair for the Dragon Bash. Sheena is also the co leader for an Imagine Girl Scout Junior Troop, one of the largest troops in the region. Sheena loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends and she serves as your PiP Vice President. Next year, she will be your PiP President. Why do you value PiP? PiP is essential in the communication between the school and its parents. There is constant opportunity for growth in PiP and having a voice in the school community. Why did you decide to volunteer with PiP? This is my fourth year at Imagine. I love getting involved in the school and activities related to the school. It gives me an opportunity to get closer with my kids. Being on PiP has given me an opportunity to meet parents and network through the extremely diverse community we have at Imagine. If you'd like to connect with Sheena about the Vice President role, please contact her @ sheena.laplante@imaginepip.org. Director of Committees
Mariana Piaz
Along with everyone volunteering at PIP, Mariana handles an interesting array of responsibilities: mother of three (twins at 1st grade and younger a 4 yr old girl), wife, Financial Advisor at NorthWestern Mutual and business owner (operates two photography businesses). Why do you value PiP? PIP is extremely important. It helps engage the parents community with the Scholar community to drive and enable a continuously improving well-rounded formational experience for all the children undertaking their studies at Imagine, one that takes into account the various aspects of a thriving individual and a thriving community. Why did you volunteer with PiP? I volunteered to PIP because I am passionate about community involvement. The experience will allow me to strengthen my understanding about the challenges and opportunities that our children and our families face and will allow me to contribute more effectively as a mother, a friend and fellow parent to our wonderful families living the Imagine experience. If you'd like to connect with Mariana to talk PiP Committees, please contact her @ Mariana.Piaz@imaginepip.org. |
Secretary
Ife Adesola
Ife is an attorney who focuses on Estate & Legacy Planning especially for families with young children. She lives in McKinney with her family and this is their second year at Imagine. They have two sons at Imagine. One in 2nd Grade and the second son in 1st grade. Why do you value PiP? I see PIP as an opportunity to partner with the school, teachers and the kids by providing the support needed to make the learning experience much more enjoyable and valuable for our children. PIP adds value to the school in so many ways and I always love to be part part of any available platform to support the school my children attend. Why did you volunteer for PiP? I believe that when parents are actively involved in the education of their children, the children perform better. I volunteered to be part of the PIP Board because I am vested in the education of my children and I believe that by contributing my own quota to the development of the school, I am not just doing this for my children but I am also adding value to all the other families at Imagine. If you'd like to connect with Ife about the Secretary role, please contact her @ Ife.Adesola@imaginepip.org. Director of Communications
Nanette Allen

She has a degree in Network Engineering. Why do you value PiP? PiP is important to me because of the role it plays in building advocacy between parents and the school while also building an active community for Imagine families through fundraising and social events. Most importantly, everything PiP does benefits our children. Why did you volunteer with PiP? I volunteer with PiP because I wanted to get involved at my child's school and allows me to get to know the families that are involved with PiP. If you'd like to connect with Nanette to talk PiP Communications, please contact her @ Nanette.Allen@imaginepip.org. |
