Sheena is also the co leader for an Imagine Girl Scout Junior Troop, one of the largest troops in the region. Sheena loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends and she serves as your PiP President. Why do you value PiP? PiP is essential in the communication between the school and its parents. There is constant opportunity for growth in PiP and having a voice in the school community. Why did you decide to volunteer with PiP? This is my sixth year at Imagine. I love getting involved in the school and activities related to the school. It gives me an opportunity to get closer with my kids. Being on PiP has given me an opportunity to meet parents and network through the extremely diverse community we have at Imagine. If you'd like to connect with Sheena about the President role, please contact her @ sheena.laplante@imaginepip.org. Treasurer

Fun Fact, her favorite show is Star Trek and she loves any Star Wars or Marvel movie. Why do you value PiP? PIP is the link between the school and parents helping to pave the way for success. PIP provides tools to succeed that brings value to every child. Why did you volunteer with PiP? Honesty, because my friend asked me too. Seeing the value that I could bring to PIP and to the IIANT community, I was excited to start that venture. My ideas, knowledge and support that I bring to my fellow Board members will help create a better and stronger PIP which in turn will help develop a better and stronger School Community. I’ve always enjoyed being involved in my son’s life, volunteering for PIP affords me that opportunity. Carol is a native from Mexico, she and her family live in McKinney and this is their seventh year at Imagine. They have two kids at Imagine, a boy in sixth grade and a girl in forth. Next year she will be your PiP President. Why do you value PiP? For me PiP is a way to serve our school, kids and staff. PiP provides the vehicle for Parents to work with Imagine to build a more positive, fun and successful community. At the end of the day we all want what’s best for our kids! Why did you volunteer with PiP? I have always believed in the importance of Parents‘ active involvement in the kids activities. I also love volunteering and helping as much as possible. I feel an enormous gratitude towards our Dragon community and I am sure that through PiP we can strengthen the school-parents relationship to enrich the kids’ school experience as well as our wonderful staff. Ashveen Kaur
Ashveen resides in McKinney with her family. This is their fourth year at Imagine with their 3rd grade son. She is a wife, mom, an HR Professional, and a certified yoga instructor. She holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Management and is a certified internal auditor with a bachelor's degree in commerce. Why do you value PiP? "Today everyone is so busy, it almost seems like a contest to see who is the busiest. Between juggling our profession, caring for our family/loved ones, and multiple other responsibilities, there never seems to be enough hours in the day. I bring a lot of energy to what I do" Why did you volunteer with PiP? When we started as a new family in Imagine, I volunteered as PiP to network and meet other parents. Soon I discovered the need for more parents to join and assist in different activities as our children spend a better part of the day in school. Becoming a school volunteer gives you the opportunity to share in school-related experiences. Volunteering at school is a great way to connect with other parents. It felt like I would be wasting an amazing opportunity not to get involved in the PiP board. I am very excited and looking forward to being a part of this awesome organization. My favourite quote is "You are never wrong to do the right thing". If you'd like to connect with Ashveen about the Programs role, please contact her @ Ashveen.Kaur@imaginepip.org. |

Ife is an attorney who focuses on Estate & Legacy Planning especially for families with young children. She lives in McKinney with her family and this is their third year at Imagine. They have two sons at Imagine. One in 3rd Grade and the second son in 2nd grade. Why do you value PiP? I see PIP as an opportunity to partner with the school, teachers and the kids by providing the support needed to make the learning experience much more enjoyable and valuable for our children. PIP adds value to the school in so many ways and I always love to be part part of any available platform to support the school my children attend. Why did you volunteer for PiP? I believe that when parents are actively involved in the education of their children, the children perform better. I volunteered to be part of the PIP Board because I am vested in the education of my children and I believe that by contributing my own quota to the development of the school, I am not just doing this for my children but I am also adding value to all the other families at Imagine. Most importantly, everything PiP does benefits our children. Why did you volunteer with PiP? I volunteer with PiP because I wanted to get involved at my child's school and allows me to get to know the families that are involved with PiP.
